You can't macro items. Pots are tied to the actual animation, so typically I will wait til around 1/3rd of the GCD timer rolls over before I press my keybind and it comes out fairly consistently. A lot of the clipping and pot not coming out comes from pressing it too early (still very annoying and should be fixed along with sprint)
